Privacy Policy

The information we gather from users enables us to personalise and improve our services, but most importantly to support you in your development.

This is our Privacy Policy - the rules we follow to deserve your trust and follow the law.

But first, there are two really important things we want you to know:

  1. We will never share your feedback with Human Resources or anyone else in your organisation. This includes scores and comments on behaviours or anything submitted via our surveys whether it is from your self-assessment or from others giving you feedback. We only share data that has been anonymised and you are unrecognisable in it.

  2. We will never sell or share your personal data with any third parties.

The information we collect:

1. Personal Information Provided By Your Organisation

From your organisation we will receive basic information such as your name, email address, and job role. They may share additional information such as years of service, level, managerial responsibilities etc. We use this data to communicate with you and to choose the Honeycomb cells (topics) that would most likely be relevant to you.

2. Personal Information You Provide to Us

We receive and store any information you enter or provide to us securely. You may choose not to provide us with certain information; this would impact on not being able to give you accurate recommendations and you may not be able to take advantage of special features available now or in the future.

The self-review you complete will be used for such purposes as recommending content and resources, creating your personal Honeycomb map, and may be shared with coaches, facilitators or other people working with The Honeycomb Works to support your development. Anonymised versions of this data will also be used to develop aggregate Honeycombs that show the strengths and development needs of a group of people in the organisation.

3. Personal Information Others Provide to Us About You

People you choose will provide feedback about you that will be stored in our system.

This feedback will be used in a similar way as your self-review information; recommending content and resources, creating your personal Honeycomb map, and may be shared with coaches, facilitators or other people working with The Honeycomb Works to support your development. Anonymised versions of this data will also be used to develop aggregate Honeycombs that show the strengths and development needs of a group of people in the organisation.

4. Personal Information Collected Automatically

We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our applications or obtain services from us. We automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number, browser type, IP address, Honeycomb cookie information, and the page you requested.

Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site and its components. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how often users use parts of the applications so we can improve those services and make them appealing to as many users as possible. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information to your organisation or other partners about how our users, collectively, use our site. We share this type of statistical data so that together we may provide you with an optimal online experience. This data is only shared after it has been anonymised - you will not be able to be identified.

5. E-mail Communications

We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us if your computer supports this type of program. We also use this confirmation to help us make emails more helpful and interesting for our subscribers.

6. Browser Cookies

Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. Our cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.

Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We require that certain cookies be enabled for you to take advantage of the services we offer.

7. Location information

When you use our applications on a location-enabled device, we may collect and process information about your actual location, like GPS signals sent by a mobile device. We may also use various technologies to determine location, such as sensor data from your device that may, for example, provide information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers.

Also, it may be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers.
